Nah, definitely not from me, I actually love Sold0, he just takes it far too seriously at times.

I know he secretly loves me most of the time.

Eerie, is it me or do I sense a bit of bad blood between you and Peter Griffin?

They currently have one of the most sought after managers in world football, they've spent about £500mil on their squad, when they smashed Man City away they were being tipped as serious title contenders, yet according to some WEST HAM FANS (one actually) they are the shittest team ever, and we only beat them because they're shit, nothing to do with us playing well.

BELL END

Chaps, don't let a discussion on the relative merits of Liverpool teams past and present divert from the fact that we have a more competitive squad than for some years.

I thought EVERYTHING was better in the 80's & 90's?

I I recall rightly a certain barrel chests Israeli called Ronjie Rosentahl rescued them that season.

Yes, they were shit.

I probably won't read that just as you probably wouldn't read my link sold!
I'll leave it there. I'm glad a scouse fan remembers Souness era like I did. They were shit and I won't have it that they're better than they are now.

Here's what a Liverpool fan said in sept 2015. Who I presume knows his stuff.

http://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2015/09/liverpool-the-worst-team-in-50-years/

If we have to settle on a worst Liverpool team in the Premier League era, let’s plump for Souness’s wasters, drunkards and fatties who sat in 15th place, just three points clear of the relegation zone in March 1993 after 30 matches in the league. Somehow, that shower recovered to finish sixth with a colossal 59 points from 42 games; enough to save Souness his job and offer him another season.
With reference to the past, the only conclusion one can draw is that big names and star players don’t necessarily go hand in hand with successful teams. It is, after all, a team game.

Ron... so what season we talking about Fowler then??

1993 - 18 goals
1994 - 34 goals
1995 - 36 goals
1996 - 31 goals

Or Rushy...

1993 - 22 goals
1994 - 19 goals
1995 - 19 goals

Like I said benteke & Firminho or Rush & Fowler

It was an excellent performance yesterday from us but they were fookin' shite

Liverpool have had worse teams under hodgson and Rodgers. Kloop is an excellent manager. We truly deserved the victory.

Re: West Ham v Liverpool - Official Match Thread FT 2-0
That was the year we must have sold Julian to them B6.
They were called thugs for signing him and Ruddock and played shit football. Finished 8th that year. Sacked Souness half way through.

Doesn't strurridge currently have the best goal ratio at Liverpool ever? Or is it just the prem?

Sold ... Biggest would be a difficult one. Obviously Greaves would be close but in recent years don't forget Nolan.n

Rush and Fowler BOTH scored in the 94 win at Upton Park.

Re: West Ham v Liverpool - Official Match Thread FT 2-0
Rush was about 34 and fowler was about 17. Unless you think that period in time was actually both their heydays?

i-Ron 11:37 Sun Jan 3
Re: West Ham v Liverpool - Official Match Thread FT 2-0
It might look it on paper but it really wasn't

Grobs and James were leaking goals. The back line was all over the shop. I think they had Jamie redknapp who wasn't bad that I missed out but Molby Barnes Rush Whelan and Nicol all lost it completely. Fowler was a kid at the time, McMananamanaman was inconsistent (good bust up with Grobs at Liverpool) and they played a lot worse football than they served up the other day that's for sure.

I dunno why it's even questioned is this the worst Liverpool team ever. It's absolute nonsense. They're a good side. We beat a good side.
